How I’m Using AI to Market Me & My Book To Podcasters and Save Time

Hey there, fellow storyteller and book lover! Save yourself some time by leveraging AI to help you market your book.

📚 My AI Is Pitching Me As A Guest To Podcasters

As an author, marketing is often one of the most time-consuming aspects of the business. Between writing emails, pitching podcast hosts, and promoting on social media, there’s little time left for the creative work I truly enjoy — writing and engaging with readers. That’s why I decided to explore the potential of AI as a marketing tool, and I’m excited to share the process I’ve started, even though I’m still waiting for the results.

Creating an AI to Pitch My Book

To streamline my promotional efforts, I used ChatGPT to create a custom AI that could pitch me and my book to relevant podcasters. I provided the AI with everything it needed: my name, a brief bio, the title and description of my book, the genre, my email, and my availability for interviews. Then, I instructed the AI to target 25 podcast hosts who focus on entrepreneurship and self-publishing, hoping to land some interviews and get my book in front of the right audience.

The beauty of this approach is that the AI takes over the time-consuming process of crafting personalized pitches and sending them out. I no longer have to worry about manually researching each podcast or writing individual emails. The AI handles all of that for me.

Waiting on the Results

Right now, I’m in the phase of waiting to see how well this approach works. Since I’ve handed off the outreach to the AI, I’m curious about the responses and opportunities it will generate. The experiment is still unfolding, and while I don’t have the final results yet, the fact that I’ve automated a large portion of my marketing process is already a win in itself.

How AI is Already Helping Me Save Time

Even though I’m waiting for the outcome, using AI for marketing has already proven to be a time-saver. It’s freed me up to focus on other aspects of my business, like writing future books, refining my book’s branding, and engaging more authentically with my readers. I’ve been able to focus on the creative aspects that I enjoy, while the AI takes care of the repetitive, administrative tasks.

The Potential of AI for Authors

This process has highlighted the incredible potential AI holds for authors. Whether it’s automating outreach, creating marketing content, or even scheduling tasks, AI can become a valuable partner in running your author business. And it’s not just about saving time; it’s about making sure you’re able to focus on what matters most — your writing and connecting with your audience.

As I continue to wait for the results of this AI-powered outreach, I’m already seeing how AI can be a game-changer for authors looking to scale their efforts without sacrificing time and creativity. I’ll be sure to share more once the responses come in, but for now, I’m excited about the possibilities this technology brings.

Looking Forward to What’s Next

This journey with AI is just beginning for me, and I can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve. My hope is that AI will not only land me some valuable podcast interviews but also open up new opportunities for promoting my work in ways I hadn’t imagined. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the freedom that AI is giving me — more time to write, more time to connect with readers, and less time spent on the administrative grind of marketing.

If you’re an author looking to boost your productivity and streamline your marketing, AI might just be the tool you’ve been waiting for. Stay tuned for the results of my experiment — I’m optimistic that AI will be a key part of my author toolkit moving forward.
